a couple questions regarding my 300
i am going on a deployment for a while and when i get back my 300 is getiing it all. so i already tore it down to bear frame and had i powder coated. the thing is my engine is going to sit for 6 to 8 months before i start to tear it down and rebuild 330 kit maybe a stroker. is it ok for it to sit with oil in in or sould i dump it all out. ok 2 more questions : i was looking at the cylinder from a 350x it looks like it would go right in place of the 300 cylinder even with using my head it would be sweet id ne 1 has the mesurments of a 350x cylinder please hook me up. also the mesurment on the leanght of 350x swing arm thanx
and the last question would u guys sugest i buy a 350x motor
or just bore my 300 out. because i can alway bore the 350 later from www.powroll.com oh sorry one more question how man more cc is .20 over i dont think its much more. thanx:huh

I dont know anything about a 350X top end on a 300EX, But i do know that a 350X engine is much faster and more powerful than 300EX and once some work is put in it can blow away 400EXs, and for the 100 bucks in mounts its probably worth it if you have a 350X motor.
Only downsides are no reverse and a kick start, something to consider.

so to bore it to a true 300 its .90?

I am not sure on the actual measurments of the 350x but it does have a 81mm bore. An 80mm bore on a 300ex makes a 330. I know Curtis Sparks has even larger bore kit for the 300ex they offer 82mm and an 83mm I think they will make it like a 360/365 not sure and thats without a stroker crank. And if you go that route I believe 4stroke tech offers a 410 stroker kit for the 300ex. The only problem with the 300ex kits is that everyone switch to a 400ex and it caused the price of the 300ex parts and kits to go up, you can get a 440 kit for about $10-$20 cheaper than the 330 kit.
