300ex is still the best. The new blaster looks like junk. Very disappointing, Yami had a good chance in doing something amazing and they blew it.:ermm:

it wouldnt be making too much power at 8k RPM. i was watchin the superbike races today and they put a tac and seedo at the bottom of the screen when they switch to an onboard camera. i never saw the tac go below 9000 RPM and i saw it go up to 18,200 RPM :eek2:

i knew they revved, but i didnt know they went to 18 grand. they cbr600rr is like 14,200 or somethin

the r6 revs to like 16 k rpms so y not lower it to about 13500 or 14 k rpms that would be sweet

That's because people who race quads is only a percentage of the market.

They're just trying to please everyone.

psh 300ex. Id get the raptor 250. The 300ex is prehistoric. The raptor 250 is way lighter and looks alot better. I don't know the power difference since i never rode a 250. But all the 300ex's I rode had no balls.

trust me a r6 motor is WAY to much for that quad. my brothers puts out 97 hp at the rear wheels. come on. thats nuts for that quad. but maybe for a larger quad frame. hmmm... that maybe something in the future.

I got my fiancee a 250ex w/ the sportclutch. I have a ball when I ride it. I can putt along on trails w/o worrying about the clutch. Have a nice relaxed ride. But then if I wanna goof off it has the clutch where I can pop it, spin the tires, loft the front end, etc. just like a sport quad w/ a regular clutch. To me it has all the features of a semi-auto w/ the added benefit of a clutch when I want it.

could u guys tell me more about that sport clutch

Sport clutch is a clutch that you don't have to use when shifting, but can if you want.

ZeroLogic

You can't "buy" a sport clutch. Its only made for the Honda 250ex. :ermm:

They put it on the 250EX for beginners, that way they can learn to shift without having to work a clutch at the same time.

Lol.. an r6 engine in a quad... my 07 r6 puts out 108 hp to the wheel and revs to 16.5k rpms.

It's pretty fun... and I wear ear plugs many times because the noise is so high pitch getting onto freeways and stuff that I can't even hear when I get off of it.

Take your typical semi-auto quad where you have to shift but there is no clutch. All you do is let off the gas to shift and stuff. When you stop it doesn't stall or anything like that. Now also add in a standard clutch too. The idea was to teach people about a true manual clutch, without actually needing it. Because its combined w/ a semi-auto tranny, you can't stall it. A neat idea really.

Overall its totally unnecessary and useless ..... unless your like me and wanna use it to spin the tires, pop wheelies, etc. Its also nice for me when I hop on it since I'm so used to manual tranny quads and the first thing I wanna do is grab a fist full of clutch going from 1st to 2nd. On my parents 4x4 when I do that it actually not a clutch but a combined front/back brake lever :eek2: I swear one of these days I'm going to go over the front end doing that.
