I just got a '99 400ex and it doesn't start in gear. It has an ASV clutch lever, in case isntalling that may have changed anything. Is there a way to wire it up to start in gear? Thanks
There should be two wires near the lever, I think one is dark green and the other is yellow and green, wire them together and you should be good to go. But remember the motor will start in gear without the clutch pulled in.

Yup. Connect them and wrap the in black electrical tape. It blends right in with the black cable.
