what is the best year that the 250r was made? Was there any changes throught the years?

88-89

89 is actually the best because it has the updated clutch assembly......


the motor mounts are different (88-89 has a solid swingarm)-Instead of the ssplit swingarm on the 86-87

the swingarm lengths are different (88-89 are -1 in length)

so are the a-arms....(88-89 is +1 forward)

86 had a differnt style rod and piston thing, they changed it in 87, one of the years had a bridged intake, they changed the hubs, plastic, the 86 had a differnt style airboot than the 87-89

if you looking to buy a 250r, go with the 89 r, just like bee had it has the updated clutch, and its the newest outof the 4 years.
89 are the hardest to find
