How is a quiet core made??

well, i found out i CAN get a quiet core from DMC for my pipe, but they want like $64. I think im going to try to make my own for now, does anyone know how they are made, or what they are, so i can have a starting point?

well i got a quiet core for my hmf ironman pipe and all it is is a smaller hole that it passes through with a screen at the end as the spark arrester. hope that helps
