i have not personally used this shock. it came off of an 86 atc250r i'm told. which means it should bolt up to the 86 trx250r just fine, it would just be a little tricky to find a place to mount the reservoir. the rod appears to be flawless. the spring looks great, paint looks good. it's missing the bumpstop, though. there's a bit of rust on the body of the shock but would easily come off if you took the spring off and cleaned it up.
