NEW Frame Skid, Now what?

I only have 12 hours since my complete rebuild of my 400ex and I installed a pro armor chassis skid plate. Everytime i land hard or anything like that at the track, it gets kicked back and the front "C" clip comes undone and the front of the skid plate just hangs down.

I was wondering if anyone has had any of the same problems. I was thinking of trying to get a plastic chassis skid. Anyone have any suggestions. I could just take it off...but it's nice to have someting to take some of the scrapes and abuse.

This happened to me just yesterday. I'd like to find some type of fastener to wrap completely around that front tube of the frame to keep this from happening again, but haven't come up with anything yet.

Yeah i tried turning it around it doesn't work because of the "turned up" sides of the skid plate they hit the lower a-arm mounts. If i can find a plastic one , my pro armor will be for sale. I love all their other products.
