dynatek makes one of the best rev-boxes on the market,,

in my opinion i dont think one is neccesary on a otherwise stock 400 motor,,,

but its up too you, if you feel you need the extra rpm's then get one,, if not save your money for something more useful.

a great upgrade is the sparks timing key and its only around 20 bucks

a sparks timing key advances the timing 6 degrees, it helps alot with throttle response...

you can get one directly from curtis sparks,,

it does require some dissasembly on the engine to install,

if you mechanically inclined at all the install is simple... remove side case, use supplied flywheel puller, and use the sparks key inplace of the old woodruff key...

if your interested there a tons of posts on how to do it... just search..

I'V GOT A DYNATEK BOX ON MY 02 400EX. AND ITS A NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE. IT HAS A DIP SWITCH THAT YOU CAN SET TO STOCK OR YOU CAN SET IT TO THE SETTING THAT THEY PRE PROGRAM. AND IT HAS A CONNECTION SO YOU COULD HOOK A LAPTOP UP TO IT ALSO.

So you can tell a differnce in power/ or is it just in the RPM's
"high in" is your 400ex all stock ? and extra speed ?

thanks man

AS FAR THE ENGINE, ITS STOCK FOR NOW. THE DYNATEK HAS FOUR SETTING. ONE IS STOCK, THE SECOND HAS GIVES YOU A LITTLE BIT MORE I'D SAY AT LEAST HALF TO FULL THROTTLE, AND THE THIRD SETTING HITS FROM THE CRACK OF THE THROTTLE ALL THE WAY TO FULL THROTTLE. UPS YOUR RPMS TO ABOUT 9600 TO 9800 RPMS. FOURTH SETTING IS BASICALLY A SETTING THAT IS SET BY DYNATEK IN CASE YOU GIT BAD FUEL OR HAVE TO LIMP BACK IT RETARDS THE TIMING. BESIDES THE BUB EXHAUST PIPE, THIS BOX WORKS AWESOME. GLAD I BOUGHT ONE. AS FAR AS MORE SPEED, YES BECAUSE YOU HAVE MORE RPMS, OFF THE LINE I WAS WAY QUICKER.
