I'm going to be taking my parking brake off and was wondering when I take the cable off the lever on the handlebar is there anything else I have to do to the lever / handlebar.

nope thats all you have to do around the handle bars

There are a couple things you can do. I just take the adjuster out and run a screw through into the piece that the cable was hooked to. This will keep it from flopping around and you cant see the screw once you slide the rubber cover back on. I have taken the piece out that the cable hooks to and ground it down to where it is round, like a spacer, and put it back in.

If you want to clean up the bars a bit you can replace the stock lever and perch with a simple aftermarket or a replacement from another bike/quad.

If you decide to do this you'll want to wire together the wires that go to the neutral safety switch. Just ask if you want more info about this.

I think for taking the parking brake off you need a block off plate. Thats what I have on mine its weight reduction haha. I would like to clean up where my clutch is, instead of having that clunky box with a clutch lever and parking brake switch. JOEX gave me an idea to check out the perch lever, thanks

I just think I would like a simple clutch, no big clunky box for the parking brake which I took off anyways. I would want a matching brake lever too though so everything isnt all mixed different parts like that.

ASV sells remanufactured levers on Ebay for a reasonable price.

Sometimes you get a deal, sometimes you don't. I got mine off of there but I bid on about 10 of them before I got a good price.

I don't have one on my quad, but some say you have to take off the light switch???

Do you have to take off the light switch? I hope not.

I have C5 Pro levers and still have the stock light/starter switches. I did have to remove the adjuster that came with the lever and put a simple set screw in its place. To keep it from moving, I put a dab of blue loctite on it.

all i did was cut the existing set screw and lock nut that came with the lever in half with a whizwheel. and it worked like a charm. you have to make sure you cut it straight though.
