well just me and my friends talking but i heard from an older friend that he heard if you hook up a leaf blower to the intake of a lawnmower quad or w.e that it should take off or rip and im not talking about jetting lets just say efi on them all, would it work like make the machine fly if you could figure out a way to hook a leafblower up to it?
if you look on streetfire.com, " I think thats the site", They actually tested it on a couple cars and it was a succes, i could only imagine it would work as well on a smaller size engine. Does'nt more air mean more power.

Never heard of one on a quad though.

First of all, if you connect them to a lawnmower absolutly nothing will happen, maybe rev higher. To make a lawnmower go faster you need to change out the pullys.

Electric leaf blower, power inverter for cig. lighter and a electric train controler so you can ease into it instead of all or nothing. Seen it done and it worked. Looked like homemade sin, but it worked.

but if someone on this sit did that and got it to work you would need rev limiter, different gears and efi so you didnt have to jet it at like a 500 main jet

I saw it on a car, not a fourwheeler.

all it is like supposed to be is a turbo charger. just buy a kms performance efi and turbo kit. and gaim like 70 hp. chad502ex helped build a turbo charged TRX 530r, they made it put out like 120hp. yeah thats rediculasly awesome. i want one

Engineers are pretty smart. There is probably a good reason why they make an air intake the way they do, they dont just put it on there with out testing and researching.
the ram air deal never seems to work out like you might think. 4000 rpm in 1st gear is what speed? 4000 rpm in 4th gear is what speed? air pressure would vary quite a bit, though engine rpm is the same.
Sure it can be done, and it might even run, but if it was an actual performance improvement, you would have probably already see it on the racetracks, which you don't.

well yeah thats partially true, unless it was against track rules that you couldnt do that, my guess why people dont is because if it blows dust you'll ruin your engine and how the heck do you mount that thing to your engine
