I'm ordering the HMF Sport series carbon fiber Slip-on, and will be riding at about 1000 feet in New Hampshire 90 percent of the time. I was wondering if anyone else is riding at a similar level, and what kind of jetting did you use?

I dont know the jtting sizes off hand but my cousins 250ex is hard to start because its not jetted to the elevation at his new house which is 1300ft above sea level. If you order a dynojet kit they give you jets for everything basically. Youy can ask HMF and they will tell you.

Thanks Fox .Doesn't the 400 use keihin jets? I wonder if it would be easier to get a bigger keihin jets so i can use the stocks as a benchmark, as opposed to dynojet which from what I've read on these forums are not compatible size wise

I'm not sure about keihin jets. I am only familiar with Dynojet. Best thing to do would be call or email an HMF staff member. They are great help with everything you want to know.

yea, personally i dont like dyno jet because there number system doesnt correspond with any stock manufactuer, you can use them but they require an adapter...

as far as the jetting goes you will be in the 155 - 160 range, and id consider a 42 pilot... (keihin jets)

with that main jet it should get you in the ball park...
