Im considering getting a honda cr 80 or 85 just to play with. I have a z400 already so just to get this stated before i begin, this is strictly just to kinda fool with. I race cars and have been wanting to take the z to the track to get around on but frankly, its just kinda overkill and it might just end up getting in the way. I want to get a used ,honda if i can, 80 or 85. now my question... could i fit on the original 85 design or would i need to look for the expert design bikes? im 15 years old, about 6 foot and 150 pounds. Im not worried about power or anything, i just want to know if i will even be able to ride it aggressivly if i choose to. I'v ridden a cr150f and it felt like a good size. Will the expert model have a simular seaat hight? sorry for all the questions, i just want to get some things cleared up before i start looking

So you are wanting a fullsize pit bike that could double as an aggressive weekend toy and will fit your six foot stature? I suggest a CR or KX 500.:D

yea, u pretty much hit my wants right on :p I would get a 125 or a 250 but price is a pretty big issue. I would love to find a nice 125 for around 1000, but i know its a far stretch. Yea, i just thought it would be kinda neat to have and fiddle with in my spare time

I was just kiddin with ya but seriously have you ever seen a big wheel KX 80 or even the 100 version? I dont even know if they still have them or if the 100 was a completely different bike or just the 80 with a big bore.

Iv only seen pictures of the big wheel 85s... I wish i could see one in person and sit on one, or even just see a picture of one with a person about my size sitting on it just to see how he has to hold himself. Like i said, iv ridden a 150f and liked the way it felt, just not the power ;) It felt "dead" but if anyone knows how the 2 compare in size i would love to know.

Damn, you're a toothpick.

Anyways, unless you would only want to ride it for pure fun (like a pit bike) don't get an 80-85. You can find plenty of 125s out there for less than 1500 that are still in decent shape. I know you said 1000, but why not just save for a few more weeks and get something that would actually fit you? That's my advice.

Go with a 125. You can pick one up for cheap and it has all the power you'll ever need for fooling around. Your a tall dude and skinny.:p I'm 6' and 200 some pounds give or take a few and my bike is just fine for me. I can't leave third gear in trails and You'll rarely find me in third. You will be happy with a 125. 85s have a short snappy powerband and 125 have a nice long smooth powerband. I love my Yz but pepare to buy rear tires and rings though.

But definitely go with a 125.

the only 2-stroke with a smooth powerband "well smoother" is a 250, the 125's ypu have to clutch the chit out of just to get it up into power band. 85cc bikes are even worse if your a bigger guy, i used to ride my friends 02 kx85 all the time and when it powerband that thing was purely unsafe, It would put putputputput and then all of a sudden rocket off. If your gonna want to have some fun, look into a drz/klx110, perfect rack mobilty and very fun to ride, could become addicting though. I just sold my 02 kx 125 for $1300,
