hello,

I need help relocating my wire harness into my 400ex aluminum airbox. Its a Insane Performance Airbox.

Should I drill a hole in the top left corner of airbox? (look in picture) Any other ways to get the all the electrical wires in there?

And where should I mount the rectifier? On top of the battery? thanks

You mount the recitifier on top of the battery, as for the wire harness there should be a hole in the side of the airbox with a black grommet to run the wires through. Hope this helps!

for me I cant really see aluminum air boxes doing anything at all. They say more airflow but i dont think so. Anyone wanna tell me why they are worth it?

regardless of more airflow or not, i'd get one to get the battery and everything inside. looks much cleaner. but then again i'm one to build a new subframe just to get rid of the brake light mounts. i'm kinda picky.

Well the hole isnt big enough to fit the piece that plugs into the rectifier. Thats my main problem.

Look at the link. Its the piece that plugs into number 5 (rectifier). That plug is just to big to fit through the hole.
