I have a neighbor that just annilated his 400EX and was wondering weather he should fix it or sell it for someone else to fix. So tell me what this quad is worth the way it sits....If you need more info I will try to get it for you. Thanks in advance.

It looks like an inexpensive fix if you can pick it up for $500 For less than a grand you'd have a sweet bike! If I lived closer I'd pick it up!

Well if he wanted to part it out. I might be interested in the frame/subframe. Depending on the price of course. I would make a Hybrid :p

My guess would be 500 bucks.

I'll give him $50 for his tail light and rear brake wave rotor.

IMO 1200.00 as it sits..parting it will bring around $2k not running but may take a month or 2!

he will definately make more parting it out if he has the time and patience.

I am almost 100% sure it won't be parted out. I told him that I would imagine he could get a grand out of it the way it sits. Its at my parents house right now cause he knows my dad and I mess with them.

That is the way the piston came out of the cylinder. The pin is froze up on the rod. The piston tried to roll itself over in the cylinder.

I know it needs a sleeve and piston, rings, probably valves...maybe a rod

yea i would say about 500 also but i would part it out if it were me! if he does id be interested in the handle bars, the hand gaurds, and the front master break cylinder!

well imo its worth way more then 500 but nobody will pay i guess more then that he should just save money and then fix it or have it fixed, hes losing money by selling it

wait are you talking about the engine ? or the frame and crap because the frame adn plastics arms everything is worth mroe then 500

The whole thing...the motor is in pieces...and it needs quite a few things even to make it safe to ride....like rear hubs and a new rear brake caliper.
