Whats the best way to remove paint off the side cases besides sandpaper or steel wool.

aircraft paint stripper. From home depot.

I like to use a sand blaster...its kind of expensive, but if you strip parts alot its nice to have...

if you use a sand blaster becareful...it can pit aluminum....my 2 cents:p

there is a product called white rouge. it's a stone that will polish metal to where i looks like chrome. it's like a very fine emery cloth. it's pretty cheap, and looks great.

I bought something from advance auto that you just spray on, let it sit for 10-20 mins and just wipe off all the paint with a rag.Stuff works great.Its called Tal-Strip paint remover.I think it was about $3.I used it on the heat shield and throttle cover and barley used any.Got enough for more polishing!

do u guys take ur side covers off when you strip them????? i thought it might be easier.

About the white rouge, I have the whole polishing kit at my house. But the white rouge don't unless you get the paint of.

My side case are off, *** well every thing else.

so how hard was it for the paint on the side cases to come off? I know on my electric starter cover and oil filter cover it was still a bear getting it off with the air craft stripper. lol works good on the throttle cover, lol shrivels that paint right up.

Im telling ya use Tal-Strip,It peels the paint righht off,I did my oil rezzi today:D And Btw if you ride in muddy conditions much,Your boots are gonne scratch you cases up quickly where they dont shine nomore.I'm glad i only did one side.

I'm not worryed. I don't like even riding through a small water puddle anymore. I trying to make a nice quad.
