k my battery doesn't stay charged and i just replaced my rectifier now is it time to replace the stator? is that the part that keeps the battery charged?

yea iwould definatly replace the battery before anything else

No, first put a good charge into the battery with an external charger... if it's good then, it's not the battery.

Use a meter, if the battery voltage is 13.5V or above when the engine is running at 1500 RPM or above, it's NOT the stator.
