heres a wild suggestion.. buy 400ex brakes:rolleyes:
also do u have callofduty 3 for live?

but i was talking about the calipers.. sorry for not being specific..

Yea but i think you have to buy a special caliper mounting kit for it to work. Not sure where you can get it at tho.:confused:

The 450r brakes are a huge improvement on the 400ex. I've got both the front and back brakes on my 400ex.

For the fronts I used 04-05 spindles, hubs, calipers and master cylinder. The 450r rotors are identical to the 450r ones.

For the rear brakes, I used a 450r caliper, caliper stay, rotor, rotor hub, and master cylinder. The axle locknut is identical between the 450 and the 400.

I am now very happy with the way my bike stops! The rear is an awesome improvement, no more locking up right away!

awesome.. thanks so much.. I wanted 450r brakes on my quad for awhile now.. since Im doing a complete teardown I was thinking its a good idea to do them as well..

You da man malibuj! Ive been trying to figure out all that was involved with the swap but it doesnt sound too hard. Hows the fronts stop now? I need a good front brake setup before i start getting into racing seriously. Im tired of sliding out into the bushes!:mad:

you could also use 250r calipers they are twin piston too i have seen brackets i think from walsh so you only need the calipers and brackets! but i'm not shour about the rear

sweet.. yea.. Im not to worried about my rear brakes.. but I would like more braking power from the fronts..

thanks.. ill take a look into 250r front brakes..

if the 250r had twin piston calipers.. I wonder why the 400ex didnt get them and the 450r did?

i relly don't know. maybe b/c they wanted to use all the same calipers and all the same pads. or maybe they didn't think it needed it b/c it was made for trails mostly idk maybe they just wanted it to be cheaper and the calipers i would geuss cost more those would be my best geuss's
