Yea but i think you have to buy a special caliper mounting kit for it to work. Not sure where you can get it at tho.

The 450r brakes are a huge improvement on the 400ex. I've got both the front and back brakes on my 400ex.
For the fronts I used 04-05 spindles, hubs, calipers and master cylinder. The 450r rotors are identical to the 450r ones.
For the rear brakes, I used a 450r caliper, caliper stay, rotor, rotor hub, and master cylinder. The axle locknut is identical between the 450 and the 400.
I am now very happy with the way my bike stops! The rear is an awesome improvement, no more locking up right away!

You da man malibuj! Ive been trying to figure out all that was involved with the swap but it doesnt sound too hard. Hows the fronts stop now? I need a good front brake setup before i start getting into racing seriously. Im tired of sliding out into the bushes!

sweet.. yea.. Im not to worried about my rear brakes.. but I would like more braking power from the fronts..
thanks.. ill take a look into 250r front brakes..
if the 250r had twin piston calipers.. I wonder why the 400ex didnt get them and the 450r did?
