my food plots have been working, last time i used cameras to check the herd all i had was scrubs and small racks. this is about a 18 month old 6 point...not bad for this area with mass and width

the big 6 with no brow tines was a camera ham, and add to the mix a smaller 8 in the back ground

That big 6 point has a pretty nice spread on it.

10-4 on that, but then again, there is a difference between mountain deer and corn fed farm deer:p

i was chatting with two fellas today that are booking hunts in Ohio this year instead of Alberta! that says it all to me.

now this buck was killed on the next farm over from the land i hunt in maryland. ive seen huge bucks down there but havent scored on one, but knowing they are like this in the area will keep me going back:devil:

That's a brute, right there.

There's definitely some nice deer in here in Ohio. I wouldn't move out of this state for all the rice in China. I have the Walleye capital of the World thirty miles north of me, and world class white tail hunting an hour south of me.

My dad's friend actually made a rack like that, stuck it on a doe and got in the local paper for shooting a "40-point buck." He did such a good job that they never caught on and he called back the next week to straighten things out. They later printed that they had made a mistake.

is that your land pappy, and is that where you go ridin. i have always heard older people say that scares the deer but when i go bow hunting i set up on one of my main trails.

yes thats on my property, about 10 yards off one of our trails. we ride year round and the deer are used to us. we do cut back the riding as the season comes in but not that much. ive seen deer walk right into a public shooting range while 20 benches were firing so scaring them off with noise isnt really a problem...lol

i did pick up a new camera but its quailty did not seem to be much more noticable over the other one (2mp vs 4mp) oh well, its just for fun so ill deal with it. havent seen a buck on film i a few days but thats not uncommon, not sure if this is a doe or a fat button buck

You know, they don't seem to mind the quads. Whenever i see deer their usually walking down one of my trails.Or ill go riding and see tracks all up and down, they use the trails like a highway.
