K&N oil filter

I was just reading through the new dirtwheels mag and I saw an ad for a K&N oil filter and it is supposed to meet or exceed OEM flow rates. Are these any good?

Just get the emgo filters from marcum's for $1.99. You are going to change it with the oil, so why spend $6 on it?

JCWhitney even sells the Emgo filters.
I think I just got them for .88 a piece.

recently read somewhere K&N was just retagging someone elses oil filter and it was a cheaper brand.

K&N filters are great but $6 for an oil filter is a litte steep. And besides the stock flow fine.
