Hey guy i just installed an HRC cam in my 05' 450r and need to adjust the decompression....i am being told to adjust the decompression to .017"...so does that mean i take my exhaust clearance which is .011" and then i set the gap between the decompression arm to .006" ? i think thats how its done but am not sure if you guys could help me out i'd appreciate it thanks

It is figured as exhaust clearance + .25mm
Spec is .28mm for exhaust, so add .25 to that.
Intake - .16mm
Exhaust - .25mm
Decomp - Exhaust + .25mm

so i would add .28 + .25 and get .53mm and then stick a .53mm feeler guage between the gap on the decompression lever? that seems like it would be to loose and make it a pain to kic over...i know from experience..what is wrong?

He's talking mm ur talking inches.
.006" = .16mm
.011" = .25mm
AtvKid4Eva---- Set ur decomp to .017"
Like u said the exhaust clearance is .011" and u add .006" to that to get ur decomp.
So with no feeler gauge in the exhaust port, a .017" feeler gauge should fit in the decomp gap.
