some new shots with a new lense

I got a new smaller lense today and a softer filter to experiment with, I have never really shot much with smaller lenses and needed one .So today was a little about learning the fill flash better and seeing what the lense could do.
Im like it! For such a small price, the lense worked VERY well!

Thanks LILQJ for helping me out today on the shots.
What do you think?My Son Brandon is next.. lol

i like the 1st pic the best, basic and the soft filter doesnt take away to much detail from the eyes (im a eye detail kind of guy:p )


i use a soft focus right from the camera, its not as pronounced as the filter but im not big into the portrait thing. ofcourse all i have is sweaty lil' boys to shoot:p keep playing with the flash, getting it balanced can be tuff.

I got tired of paying for crappy pics from the school ,so now I take there pics and at the end of the school year, I get alot of wallet sized ones fro them to pass out to there freinds at school to trade with other kids .

Yea, as much as she races and gets publicity, i dont see why she couldnt. Not to mention i dont doubt she turns a few heads when she's walking around (no offence, and dont send papa QJ after me)

Ahh,I found one :D This was my first attempt at a portrait shot last fall.Well.....that sounded like I actually put some effort into it.It was really nothing more than a snapshot and I think it still looks better than most of his school pictures.I still have alot of learning to do :p

We did this past season, she actually got accepted, but the gear selection just wasnt there.

I acutally dropped my sport lense the other day ,that is the 1st time I have dropped any of the camera equipment.

A side note...

Catered an 80th B-day party today and they had a professional photographer for the event. It was interesting watching him run around the room and outside snapping away. I could tell he was looking for very candid shots. It seemed like he did alot of close-ups too. It was kinda fun watching him work and I think I may have learnd a thing or two;) :)

I talked to Harlen about the footage, he said that the lighting was pretty bad and that I was out front so it was pretty boring...No rubbing paint makes for dull footage...

And for the record I didnt crash.. I just had a spindle malfunction....

since i have had this camera(minimal sony h2 with no lenses or filters) for about a year, i finally have had a chance to start learning a few things about it...i have a long way to go, but here are a few pics i took on our trip to the cleveland zoo...one of the biggest obstacles i faced was a 6 yr old girl tugging on me to go see the next animal...

and i need to take a class also...

Well, thank you .. I am proud of both my kids ,not sure exactly where they got there genes, but someone had good ones at some point in the blood line . lol
I doubt she will ever model, its not really the kind of thing she woudl liek to do....
