Sometimes when I'm riding my 400ex the thumb throttle feels stiff and it doesn't want to be pushed in anymore. Could this be because I didn't jet it when I put my HMF slip-on or is it from something else. Does anyone know, I would like to figure this out.

Your cable may need to be replaced or lubed. Take the cable off and spray cable lube or WD-40 into it. If that doesn't work, get a new cable.

could be a bent/dirty cable.. could be the way the cable is routed.. could also be the thumb throttle itself..

I've had good luck periodically spraying silicone spray into the cable while working it back and forth. If your cable isn't completely worn it should feel like butter...huge difference!

for future reference....

remove the throttle cover and fill the weep hole in the bottom with silocone. once it sets up fill the throttle block with cable and chain lube and re install the cover. the lube will migrate down the cable while riding. once in a while add more lube.
