I am looking to buy a 450R, but cannot decide wheter to choose from a 2004 or 2005 model. Is there any difference or problems with these models? There is an 04 selling for a good price $3500 and a 05 for $4000. Which model would be best?

there both the same just go for the one that looks like its in better condition. late 04's and early 05's have the crank bearing problems. the only difference between the two years is that the on the 04's its says TRX450R in yellow and on the 05's it says TRX450R in white:p

Ya their both exactly the same.

If they are used get which ever one has less hours and is in better condition.

06s have a couple problems. like they dont like to start if it is estart. and you can see there are some minor recalls stickied at the top of the forum. but as long as its a honda, it is bullet proof. the 06s are a totally different machine. but the make more hp than a 04-05. if you are getting a good deal on an older one, go for it
