CDI box help

Will a cdi box off a 300ex fit onto a 250x? I know that the 300ex has eletric start and the 250x has kick start but don't know if anything changes in the cdi box.

it might fit,, but im almost sure it wont work,, because the cdi for the 250x is different internally because of the kick start

dang that sucks, ive got a 250x too and want a better cdi but all i can find is one for the 300ex. haha o well

what kind of a cdi were you looking for???? one for a 250x or something different to put on a 250x

I beleive, I could be wrong though, but I believe I heard that the atc350x CDI will replace the 250x cdi, eliminating the rev limiter.

The 300ex won't directly interchange. Completely different circuitry due to the e-start and battery powered electrical system.

yea i believe bwamos is correct about the 350x cdi working on the 250x,

Okay. Thank all of yall for the help. My cdi box went bad and I found one for 16 dollars shipped off ebay.
