what makes you think you are lean on the pilot jet? what is in it currently? Stock?

Unless you are really really lean I doubt you will hurt it...but If it were my bike, I wouldn't chance it.

Again it would depend on the symptoms and how severe.

it backfires on decel, and turning the fuel screw doesnt do enough for it. and its a stock pilot, with a pipe and air filter.

full exhaust or slip on?

how significant is the popping on decel...some is normal with a aftermarket exhaust....

Can you take a video or anythnig?

its quite bad popping really, definetly doesnt sound normal to me. i can maybe take a video tomorrow.

i just got a slip on and uni filter, and a 155 main jet. works great other than the backfire on decel. all videos ive seen on here of hmf pipes dont backfire, but mine does quite loud

i went to a 140 pilot... and didn't have any trouble...

142 would have been even better, but couldn't get one when I had time to do it.

40K pilot jet should be fine for your set up.
