Do 250r's get good gas milage like a 300ex or another 4 stroke. My brother has an rm 250 and it eats gas like crazy. I wanted to decide on what to buy between the 450 and 250 so i need to know what gets better mileage. thanks

If you want to go fast they will all drink gas

are you concerned about running out on a long trail ride?? if so an oversized tank will take care of that concern.

it seams alot of them are gas guzzlers, my hybrid 450, eats almost as much gas as my 250r's. I have a 4 gallon tank for when I'm concerned about running out of gas.

it holds 2.4 or so. Yeah, I got some toys, more will be added in the next year, crf450r powered atc250r, remake of the 200x(using a custom frame, 450r brake parts, 250r suspension and rear end, nerf bars and some kind of easy to get gas tank). The woods 250r hasn't been started yet, I have almost all the parts to do so, too lazy to start it.

it depends on several different things...

the type or porting and polishing done (if any), the size of the carb, how dialed in the carb is, the terrain, and the style of riding...

when my 250r was stock with a pipe and a filter, stock carb, it wouldnt get great fuel economy but it wasnt like my buddies on their banshees either... then when i got the duncan top end with the 36 carb, i was quite a bit faster, and got considerably better fuel economy for some reason.... then when i had that top end ported and polished real nice, it started sucking down the gas a lot more than it had... so it just depends...

Yeh my brother 'n law has a Suzuki Vinson 500 with a friggin computer it comes with on the bars, and I asked him if it had a odometer he said yeh, I'm like next time we go riding we should check for gas milage.

Then I can take the inquiry of the double stamp and indubidebly change it to the 3rd motion of the run out with the character to factor the promotion of wut my R milage would be. :huh

But I can run 3-4 hours easy usually before you hit the reserve.

I've done a 50 mile poker run stuck in 2nd-3rd gear pretty much the whole time(behind slower riders) and I only burned about 1 1/2 gallons in my unported 310 cylinder.
