a couple of years back, a guy in St.Louis was arrested and he had a $1000 bill in his pocket..

it was rightfully his and the police dept./mayor tried to keep it..

i believe he sued to get it back.

Why would you buy one? Just go to the bank and ask if you can get one. And before some of you say that you cant, you can. My mom is vice president of a bank and I have seen and held a few 1000 dollar bills before. An older guy I know convinced a younger dude that you cant get one anymore and sold the 1000 for 1100. I was telling my mom about it and she just laughed and said send him down to me I'll sell him all he wants for 1000.

I bought a quad with $1000 bills once.

On a 4 hour ride to go pick up the quad , I think I had my hand clinched around the 4 bills for the better part of 3 hours. At 16 I had never hand that much money in my hands.

Now when I sold the YFZ , I wish the guy would have given me $1000 bills ... instead I got over $6500 in $5, $10 and $20 bills and it all had a skunky smell ( Hrmm) . I didn't ask questions. :cool:
