This past weekend was a Holiday weekend up north here , so my girlfriend and I decided to take advantage of the extra day off and head 2 hours north to my parents place to do some fishing for the weekend. We couldn't ask for a better weekend ... nice sunny days , hot weather and some good fishing . Anyways , here's some pictures of what I like to call Paradise !!!!:)

Same here, I want a nice farm land that has elecrtic and plumbing and that has a river/stream or lake/pond in it. Have a little farm and go out hunting and fishing along with work. Along with that have a nice motocross track there.

Thanks for the comments guys ... we really do love it up here.

To answer a few questions ....

The summer time temperatures average between 65 and 80 in the summer ..... and anywhere from 10 to -40 ( on extremes) during the winter.

I live in the northern part of the province of Ontario. I'm about 4 hours north of Toronto , 7 hours from Buffalo and 3 hours from Sault Ste-Marie. My parents cottage ( their house) is another 2 hours north of me .

ZeroLogic ..... there's TONS of work for framers . The city I live in ( about 165 000 ppl) is booming right now . They don't have enough guys to keep up with the demands. If you want a home built , you have to wait atleast 10 months before they start building it.

Gas prices are like everywhere else ... expensive . LOL

Lots of property for sale , especially if you want to live on the outskirts of town and have acreage or farm land . Within a 30 minute drive from the Downtown of the City , you can get a farm with nice home , barns , etc for about $200 000

If you're the outdoor type that enjoys hunting , fishing , snowmobiling , ATVing , camping ... anything outdoor related , this is the place to be . I live 10 minutes from the Downtown core , and I'm considered "out of town" . 15 minute drive from the downtown and you're in the bush with thousands of lakes to fish and places to hunt. Right near the downtown core , is Lake Ramsey , which was the world's largest lake located completly within a city boundary. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Ramsey

How are the laws down there for dirt bikes and gun owning? Is it clean there as in the city wise? Anything to watch out for?

Best thing ever to cook with. When you got a nice hot fire going , you add the cooking oil and it's hot within seconds. Actually the whole meal that you see in the pictures was ready in about 10 minutes . Potatoes took about 3 minutes ... fish took up the rest.

I actually have another pan like the one in the picture , but a tad smaller . Love cooking with it cuz there's no mess to clean up . Just wipe it down and put it away. :D

If I told ya , I'd have to shoot ya .

Actually there's a few outdoor supply shops around the area that carry them . They range from about $20 for a smaller version ... to about $50 for the size you see in the picture. The one in the picture has a circumference the size of a wasking machine drum .

Zerologic ... the laws varry. I can't ride in town , but if I trailer a little north 10 minutes, I can take trails and ride for hours and hours. Just need a drivers license , registration and insurance . I could actually take my quad , and ride from here up to my parents place all by trail . Gotta remember , this city is in the heart of snowmobile country ... there's THOUSANDS of miles of trails on Crown Land .

There's different laws for gun ownership. You need to take a course in order to get a PAL ( Possession and Acquisition License) then register your guns with the Federal Government. You're all set after that.

It's a fairly clean City . I mean it's got garbage like any other town . There's drugs , there's crime and we average about 2 murders per year . Only gang around are the Hell's Angels .. they do their drug thing and don't cause problems unless you screw them.

This City is the world leader on the Mining Industry . Everything around here has some kind of tie to the mines. Generations of families have grown up working underground ... it's a way of life.

Do a google search .. type in Sudbury Ontario or City of Greater Sudbury . It'll give you a better idea of the area. Type in INCO if you want , you'll see what the mining is all about.

speaking of snowmobiling, 20 minute drive and 15 minutes up the trail to this from late october to may  winter temps in my area, rang from +25C (77F) to +35 C ( 95F) in summer, in winter 0C (32F) to -20C (-13F).

Couple more pictures from last weekend up at the cottage. We caught a few fish but only kept one walleye ... the rest were just some small pike. The weather was windy , raining and cold. If it wouldn't have been for the cold front that moved in , I'm sure we would have had better results .

Anyways , here's Mel with her nice size walleye ... about 3 1/2 lbs ... perfect eating size.
