Gas leaking from 400ex carb while riding

I seem to be losing a noticeable amount of gas from the hose that comes off the bottom of the carb and hangs loose under the bike. It seems to be heaviest when I am on steep terrain or really bouncing around in the roots and rocks. Is this normal
? Anybody out there know what this is. the bike runs fine.

its normal to run out while pulling a wheelie. but if its running out while just banging around then your float bowl is too full. you ned to take it apart and adjust the float.

thats pretty normal for a carb. as long as its not doing it when its sitting still or all the time its probably alirght if it just dribbles. but if you have a steady stream or alot of gas coming out, you might wanna check your needle valve or float level in the carb.

IT doesnt do it when sitting still, only when bouncing around. How easy is to adjust the float? Would that adjusment affect how the bike would run.
