Does anyone know if powder coating lamps are any good? I bought a basic powder coating kit, and I was going to get a toaster oven for small items. But then I was thinking it would be nice to do larger items like an occasional frame, some truck parts, ect. I know large ovens are expensive. So I was wondering about a lamp. Anyone have any experience with them? Were could I get an affordable yet good one?

Thanks

I picked up an old green Kenmore stove for nothing. The only catch was that I had to dig it out of this guys basement. Works like a charm. The only things I can't do are frames/subframes and large items like that (which I wouldn't want to do anyway).

We use a lamp at school. Works good for smaller parts-medium parts, but not exactly the best on big parts. (Such as frames.) I've found that some of the little bars in the center, and on the inside will not get to bake properly. However i've only witnessed this one time by a person who was in a big hurry to get it done, and didn't really pay attention to catch it.

Also they bake up to way past 400 degrees.

That's what I use. Only available through eastwood. It works pretty good and is really easy to use.

I looked at pappy's thread. His prices are very reasonable. Definitely worth it.
