I took my swingarm pivot bolt out to replace the bearings. when i went to pull the swingarm out all kinds of metal just fell out of the left side of the swing arm including bearings.

take a look at the pics and tell me what u think i should do. dont really want to fork out the money for a new swing. think im just going to install a new set of bearings and see if it holds up.

pic of the broke outer ring where the seal is supposed to fit down own.

I wouldn't run it. Water will get in easier since you won't be able to put the outer ring on. If it's a stock one, I could probably find you one around here.

Ehhh, that looks gross:ermm: Take a pressure washer to it and it might not look as bad as you think. If that doesn't work, Ebay:D

I would check out the bay. I have seen stockers go for as little as $80.00

think im gonna try and weld a new ring on it. i dont think the weld will have to be real real strong, just enough to hold that dust seal on. if that dont work ill prolly get back to u scro or try ebay.

Your pivot bolt wasn't seized up was it? If the swingarm looked like that you're lucky if it wasn't seized!:scary: When you put the thing back together use never seize. I use it on all of my bolts works like a charm:cool:

My swinger also looked like that.

I thought about it and I don't think it will hurt it to much.yes it may not seal as good.I don't believe it will break in 1/2 or anything. That seal is smashed between the frame and the swinger and it can't move because of that bolt. Also it has a metal bushing inside the seal.So everything is still held in the right spot nice and tight.
