I was wondering if the hoosier or the american racer tires were better?

In my opinion I think it all depends on the track surfaces.I like running soft compound Hoosiers on the wet & tacky tracks and the hard compound American Racers on the blue groove tracks.

i agree with bamaquad. i like AR sd-38's for slick blue groove tracks when sun is beatin' down. i hoping to try some of the new 9" wheel Hoosiers soon.

I have some tri tacs and they do good in loose and wet tracks. I have never ran any other tires thats why im asking bout the other tires. I have friends that run the AR's and they don't seem to get as good of traction on the loose or wet tracks. I had been thinking bout trying the waffle style or maybe some AR for the oval tracks that are packed more

we run tri-tracs up here on our loose tracks and they work great. when it gets hard packed they don't hook up.

Do hoosier waffle style or the AR hook better on the packed tracks?

i know Daryl Rath is using the waffle style and has had really good results. i'm using either SD23 or SD38's for hard packed. i want to try the Hoosiers though.
