wont start in gear

2005 450-r kickstart- i cant start it in gear,ive tried adjusting clutch several times and it doesnt seem to matter when you kick it it feels like it clutch is sticking? any sugestions

How old is the clutch if its just too far gone you wont be able to kick it hard enough to start with the extra clutch drag. My 06 did that when I put a kicker in it because the clutch was just too wore out.

you can do it, but its not fun. I just find nuetral and kick it.

It's just a lot harder to do that way....... you're kicking over the entire transmission too.

finding neutral sometimes sucks on this quad,havent raced it yet but plan on it in next couple of weeks i can see myself snubbing it out in corner tryin to find neut.,would a new clutch fix this? it the original from 05

I would definitely think that would only help. It couldnt hurt it at all and they arent very expensive or hard to put in.

Do you use your hotstart? I don't have any problem really starting mine in gear(05 kickstart). But what they all said, check your clutch, maybe even replace it if your having that hard of a time.
