i have just installed a 20cc prodesign cool head. they told me run racing gas so i went and get some 114 from local napa store. it seem to be a little warm if i ride for a while it cuts out on top end does not do it when it is cold so if you could help i would a appreciate it

It may be running lean in the heat. As air gets colder it becomes more dense which equates to more power. So when its cold out more air is entering your carb, but when its hot there is less air entering the carb. Try fattening it up a bit.

Also running lean will heat up the engine.

are you thinking backward????? Cold air= more air = needing richer jetting, hot air = less air = leaner jetting. Are you using oxygenated fuel?? that woud cause you to run lean.

sunoco tt 114 racing gas not sure if it is oxygenated or not do you think the octane is to high

that won't make it run lean or hot. If anything runs cooler. I use 114 leaded in my 250r's, but also they have o-ring heads and 18cc domes, ~230 psi compression.

haha...thanks for correcting me. I was in a hurry and must have reversed that. Maybe its on the fat side then, and he should lean it out.
