Hi,

Has anyone purchased a rack system for their 400ex that they would recomend? I've been looking at several from DG and PRM etc. but, am not finding much in the way of independent reviews.

I do a lot of trail riding in WV (80+ mile days) and realy need some way to cary a small cooler and bag for riding gear.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks...

Thanks for the responses! Seems as though PRM is the way to go!

Take care...

PRM does make great stuff so it wouldn't be a bad way to go.

My buddy has an Armadillo on his 400EX (I think it's an Armadillo) and it works well too.

Nice bike by the way!

i had armadillo 6 pack racks on my 300ex and my 400ex...loved it on the 300ex, but wasn;t as thrilled with it on the 400ex...the reason is that the angle of the subframe compared to the respective part of the 300ex frame put the handle of the rack too high for a shorter guy like me to lift...here is a pic of it on the bike...

didn't realize it cut off the end of the rack...here is another...

haha your'e right, but what i do is when i get the feeling to have fun which is most of the time, i will take it off unless we are going on a long trip i will keep it for holding drinks/gas/food...etc.

heres what happens when you forget to take it off and try a wheelie!! haha

:D
