Hey guys, I have heard good things about the fcr 39 on a 400ex. I have been thinking about buying one but I was wondering how much of a difference it makes as far as power and throttle response. Do you guys think it will work well with my mods thats down in my sig? I will probably buy it from curtis sparks but I just want a little input before I spend $500

buy the 42mm 450 R carb from servicehonda.com , the fcr is a better carb, but the 42mm will only cost you $170, pluus a throttle cable, with the money you save you could port your motor, and make up tons more than that fcr would.

His motor is already ported. You will get the best performance from an FCR carb.
or buy a take off YFZ 39mm FCR for around $200, get a cable, and be happy?
