Ok heres the deal. Im completely pretty much rebuilding my EX, to pto bottom, this thing will be new. But anyways, im taking my exhaust of and was wondering if there was anything i could soak it in, to clean out the inside of all that carbon crap. They say salt water works really good, but that would prob. make the outside look like ****, if not put corrosion marks in it? What can i use to clean it out????

use some stuff called gunk. then use simple green and keep cleaning and rinsing ..it will come off....and neither will hurt the finish of the pipe.:)

Could you tie a piece of rag in the middle of some 1/4"
rope (a few feet of rope on both sides of the rag) and
drag it back and forth through the pipe with some simple
green, or other cleaning product? I know....sounds like
a disaster in the making......just an idea.

I would have your TC Pipe and Header coated by Jet Hot.

I know it sounds goofey but i have used a mixture of windex and dawn , it has seem to work great and also think about it "dawn takes grease out of your way" In all honsety it works.

No Liquids. Use Scotch Brite Pads.

Oh, if your taking the rocker cvr and head off, take them to a machine shop and tell them to "Glass Bead" them. I had that done a week ago and it comes back looking brand new. It cost about 25 bucks.
