Like the tittle says, I did it at the national in Walnut, I did it during friday practice on the downhill stepdown/tripple. If anybody got it on film PLEASE let me know I overshot it and when I landed, the tibia and fibula pushed down on my ankle joint causing it to shatter. When I landed I hit the ground so hard my body colappsed and I fell off to the right side of the quad and the handlebar hit me in the collar bone causing it to fracture, and as I fell off my leg was pulled under the bike and my toes were pointing towards the front of the quad and my knee was pointing towards the back, which broke the tibia and fibula. So far I have had 2 surgerys. The first one was In Peoria Il about an hour from the track and there they put an external fixator on (pics below) I spent 5 days there then they let me come home ( KC Missouri) Then the second surgery was at KU Med to take the fixator off and to put 5 screws in. The Dr. said that the joint was in about 100 pieces and they used a putty to hold it together. So now I'm laid up at home for about 7 months, the Dr. said Im going to loose about 80% mobility in my foot.

sorry about the long post

That sucks man . Good luck with the recovery ... take your time , let things heal up well. Been there and it sucks ... had my leg shattered into 20+ pieces . Lots of physio and you'll be back in no time .

Plus it looks like you had a cute nurse to help you out ..... that always helps the recovery. :p

Thanks guys for the replies. Yeah the rods were coming out of my shin. That nurse was one of the not-so-good-looking ones...
