okay, so i'm planning on taking off the choke from my 400ex carb but i have a few questions first
1. do you need to rejet it at all when you do?
2. i'm already running lean, so would i for sure have to rejet after this? (42 pilot and maybe a few up on the main?)

yes considering your lean and since removing the choke plate is increasing the overall air flow through the carb, it will require more fuel.. i would go with a 42 pilot and bump up the main jet a size or 2
