I'm not sure what you mean but I just put one in my quad yesterday. Here's what I know :no decompressor, sprocket holder must be press off stock cam and on to new cam, put the sprocket on the chain first align the timing marks then put the cam in place then bolt the sprocket to the cam with cam lobes facing down. I hope this helps!

Did you remove the cam chain tensioner first?

Definitely sounds like the cam chain tensioner.

the cam chain tensioner has been removed, it just does not fit when the bearing is on the sprocket side. if the bearing is not on, it goes on no problem, but then we cannot get the bearing on. i was wondering if you could put the sprocket on the cam first and bolt it up, then put the chain on :huh

Sounds like you might have the chain bunched up on the bottom. Hold the chain taunt so it can move but can not fall down. Then turn the engine over BY HAND one revolution and see if you gain any lenght of chain. Reason for doing this by hand is if the chain binds you can back it off and not hurt anything.

if you align the marks of the cam sprocket with the chain attached you should be level with the head. if not then it is binding on the crank gear. look down the hole and see if it is kinked. i just did it. you'll get be pateint

You could always call your local mechanic or maybe Hot Cams.
