Got in a bit of a wreck today.....

As the title says....i got in a bit of a suff today.

I was riding at a sandpit with some friends, and we were all having a good time. We started a little "track" of sorts around the perimeter of the pit and we were all racing...

Thats when i decided to get over-zealous with the throttle.:eek2:

Came around a sharp corner in 4th tapped and hit a really rough patch of hard red clay. I stayed on the quad until it was on top of me. I remember it being on top of me, and then people running over to me. My shoes were btoh knocked off of my feet and were laying roughly 20 feet away from me.

I broke my rear fender, bent the steering stem, bent the bars, broke all the tabs off of the tank cover and side panels. Until i feel better and can move arond good enough to inspect it, its going to sit in the shop.

The whole right side of my body is killing me....im so glad i had all my gear on. On the upside, it gets a make-over and i get a new helmet....when i aquire the funds....:ermm:

It also appears to have loosened my chain...because i just put a new chaina dn 2 new sprockets on it yesterday:p

nah its not tweaked...the plastics just make it look tweaked a little...

No, it really is slightly weaked to the left....the plastics emphasize it...

Anyone got some cheap, decent condition 400ex plastics they wanna sell...i need the full set...

that sucks man. ive had my 400 for 2 years and havn't wrecked it yet either....knock on wood....the only quad ive ever wrecked bad was my old 300ex.

My dad who was with us and seen the whole thing is telling me stuff as he feels like it:ermm:

apparently i nose dived off the quad, hence the chin skint up...and im gonna guess the chin strap on my helmet cut my neck up....

Ill take that cut over a cracked skull any day....cause i smacked hard red clay in 4th tapped out....:chinese:

I learned a valuable lesson....no matter what your doing, dont push your limits...especially when you know what they are....:uhoh:

Hey man, i know how you feel...i had a 15.5 inch rod down my left femur about 2 years ago...that sh1t hurts...

itll get better, just dont do anything the docs dont tell you too...

Be forewarned, which ever leg you broke is going to be about half an inch longer than the unbroken one....:p

U still have it in? What do u mean a half inch longer? haha

Did u get a goofy limp when u were healing? A kid at my school broke his and he had a funny limp for awhile. I can put 50% pressure on it with crutches. I make sure i walk on it completely straight to help with a limp later on.

No, i got mine taken out.

And the way they put the rod in, your broken leg will be about half an inch longer, because the bones grow back thicker and more dense.

I had a goofy little limp for a while, while i was healing up. but i walk completely normal now. I walked on mine without crutches and it looked like i had some sort of muscular distrophy (sp)...I healed up just fine and can walk perfectly normal....
