View Full Version : Has this ever happened to you?

I have had this happen a few times with my twist throttle. Sometimes when im ridin in muddy conditions my throttle will stay pinned. The first time i hit a tree. Second time i got to fast when it stuck and it rolled. Has this ever happend to you? What is it from? Finaly i decided to have a REAL mechanic take care of it. Replaced everything related to it. Im just glad it is finaly fixed.

Thats what i thought too. I took the grip and everything apart...and it was pretty clean. I didnt think that was it.

My regular thumb throttle got hung open back when I first got my quad but it was only mementarily. Has not happened since though. Guess the spring or cable got stuck open?

Just throwin that in...lol.

i had a twist throttle on my old blaster, it stuck a couple times but i just pulled it back......

well its good that you replaced everything, especially since your gonna sell it, wouldnt want anyone to get hurt:square

had a thumb throttle stick on a suzuki quadsport, 3rd pinned hit a tree broke my finger. i was pissed

when i hit the tree i bent the bumper(had to weld it back) and cracked my helmet. Scared the **** outta me. when i rolled it nothin broke:D

on my 80 i cracked the twist throttle plastic piece once causing my throttle to stick wide open... thank god i was in a field pulled in the clutch and killed the motor... i just replaced the plastic piece with a metal one and it never happened again!!

Had it happen on the ATC 250R..

2 strokes, 3 wheelers, and twist throttles do not go together!

i saw it stick on an 84 atc 250r, rusulted in a broken wheelie bar and a hospital visit, it was sold the next day.

hey man when my friend got his 300ex with a twist throttle he almost hit a tree with it man the one time i was riding a wheelie i gave it the gas and i am no use to the twist and i was scared i can't stand a twist throttel i took it up a hill the one time and i left the throttle hald in and it stud up and rode a wheelie of the top man i almost fliped that thing twist throttle is nuts when you are not use to it

i was riding with this kid who has a quadsport 230 with a twist throttle...... it stuck in trails and he went into the woods and hit a bush with about 10-15 little thin trees, he rode up onto the little trees and he got stuck
he was lucky cause he was going FAST and he had a big tree about 4 ft in front of where he stopped
