What about holeshot HD's there 6ply, are supposedly long lasting, and look like they have alot of tread who has these? and do they fit the description. I might actually get gncc fronts and hd rears and opinions? and pictures if youve got them please

I think the HD have their place, but generally they are too stiff for me.

I like the razr2 front and razr rear combo!

h8 razr 2's... but in your case you will like them get a full set razr2's. make sure u get the 20's (rear) because the 22's are waaaaaay to big for a 400ex. the 20's add up to like 22 and the 22's ad up to like 24's. the front tires rock.

I got HD's all around and they hook up great but do not get the HD fronts cuz they totally suck in mud get the Razr fronts or the GNCC ones they are pretty good from what i hear. The HD's wear really slow i had mine for 2 years and they barely show any signs of wear, I have 3 tires pluged already.

HD's have strong sidewalls so if you like to roost alot be carefull cuz if you hook the tires up just right you'll go for a ride, i just rolled mine in sand yesterday for the second time. Here's some pics

Yea they are 20's, right now i run 3psi in the fronts and 2 psi in the rears and i still cant hardly push the rear tires in, They are thick.

thankyou honda#4 i was looking for your quad and another guys quad in particular. Yeah HD's are gonna be my choice cause the wear and strength is what im concerned about looks i dont care but they look good so even better, im getting 20 rears cause thats all the make for a 9 size stock rim. Im gonna go with gncc fronts what size should i get i want a high quad im a trail ride and my rear skid plate is messed up from little tamers

On my 400ex i have HDs rears and GNCCs on the front and love the combo. On my Z400 i have GNCCs front and rear. I would go with the HDs on the rear, the GNCCs rears are really soft and they wear down pretty quick. But really like the front GNCCs though.

I have holeshot Hd's in the rear.

I will say that they hook up a hell of alot better than my razrs. In every condition I ride in. I really do like them alot. But they wear quick as hell. After a weekend of rocks and alot of dirt, I did notice a good ammount of wear.

Im still undecided if the great traction is worth there short wear. But I do really like there flat resistance. I havent got one yet, with the razrs, I have.

lol well every other guy on here said how they have extremely long wear and that there made for long wear

Yeah well I rode them for 1 weekend, and noticed about a 1/4th of an inch of tread off of them already. With NO street riding. Just track, dirt, and rock.

Yeah Razr2s are fing big with the 22's. You think they're huge on a 400ex, check out mine on the 250x.:eek2:

I have HD's front and rear.
There is another thread in here about front wheel wobble. I personally have felt my front end get a lot more busy after going from a soft 2-ply to 6-ply tire.

Anyway, I like the tires. I can get my rears to slide pretty good. I am no pro, but I can do 360's pretty easily with these rears.

They are amazing on the rocks! If I was not so scared about my undercarriage, I know I could beat the hell out of these tires.
Pucture resistance was the number 1 reason I went with these tires.

The Baja wheels though...are a pain in the *** to remove dents.

thats extremely low tire pressure.
i run 4psi in the back an 7 in the front and its great. that seems like theyd give to much

you will be more satisfyed with razrs or razr style tires. I have kings tire slashers in the front and I like them better than the razrs that my bro has. But for the rear Razrs are deffinately the way to go. Even pro ATV racers will tell you they have had Holeshots and they said as soon as they wear out they are going to razrs.

Guys, you need to remember..we are talking about Holeshot HD's. Not just regular Holeshots or even the GNCC Holeshot.

I highly doubt many pros would race HD tires.

I keep my pressures at 4 rear, 5 front FWIW.

I'm a trail rider i dont really care about the track i might go there a few times but as long as i get traction there idc whats the best. Can someone post some pictures of them mounted on a quad.

XC_racer1 they barely flex for me at all with that air pressure setup, you gotta remember that these are HD's we are talkin about so they have hard sidewalls so they dont flex that much.

Besides it always so bumpy when I was riding so now with the low air pressure it takes the bumps and jumps alot better.

I know you're talking about ITP's, but don't forget about Kenda too. I have the 6 ply claws and have never gotten a flat, they wear good and are priced better than ITP and Maxxis.

Finally got a quick pic of my quad with HD's and Baja's.
It's off a phone, so the pic isn't that great. But, it'll have to do.
