As stated above

my stats:

Height 5 foot 4 (doesn't matter that much =/)
Weight:125
Fastest Quad ever ridden through trails and hills and all the goodies: Predator 500 with pure polaris exhaust,k&n intake, maxxis razrs
fastest dirtbike ever ridden: cr125 modded
Best quad that i think would be best for me and that would not be overpowering: 400ex

now its all of your turns to say what you think

get a 400...trust me it will be plenty for any trails, anyone who says you NEED a 450 is out of their mind. at your size it sounds like you arent exactly mr.muscle man so if you do get into any problems with the 400 you should have a hard time gettin it outta the place you got it stuck lol, especially if you get an older model with no reverse...only reason i plan on getting a 450 over the 400 is because i plan on going to the track once i get my license (2 months) and i think id like the extra power and better suspension...hope this helped.
as for what 400...any. they are all good and reliable as long as you dont get a dud and as long as you maintain it theyre all good

I have no problems pushing and or lifting the front end or rolling a quad back over and when it comes down to it the sport 250's, 400's and 450's all pretty much weigh the same, i mean i'd have one heck of a time lifting it off me probally but thats it

I'd say the 400EX, i went from a recon, same engine as a 250ex to a 300EX and the power is fine and i love the quad.So if your good with the 250 i think you would be fine on a 400.

go test ride a couple. i think either a ex or z will suit you well, also take a 450 for a spin just for a hoot. i am a little bit bigger than you. actually i am a lot bigger than you are. i weigh about 218 and the 450r is the first quad i have ever owned. i am still begging for more power. i love the thing. if you take a couple for a ride and feel like you can handle the 450 i say get one.

I don't think you could beat the reliability of a 400EX.

400ex.

They're a dime a dozen, and the parts for them are EVERYWHERE.

I went from my 250ex to a DVX400, and i was amazed big time!!! Same when i went from my 400 to my 450.

Yeah the cheapest route would be a 400ex. Just keep it stock learn how to ride it well. Do a few mods once you get bored. After you get bored of that its time for a 450.

another vote for the 400ex,
pro's:
the most reliable sport atv ever made,
respectable power, gigantic performance market, same motor sense 1999, super handleing, holds resale value
con's:
air cooled
no reverse on older models

the fun factor on the 400ex is off the charts

either a 400 or 250r...both are good choices
