Well I do a lot of work for people on there quads and dirtbikes and all that and I enjoy it.

I got 2 four-wheelers now that I'm workin on so I'm like wut the hell I might as well get a small business goin.

So I'm gonna make up some business cards and maybe a few shirts for fun and get my number in the phone book, and I'm thinkin about the paper too but I don't know wut to do with all that, then just pass out cards and the word to all my buddies that ride and get more business.

Any ideas? Wut do you guys think? Any words of wut to do or get my name out there or how to run it?

I say go for it. Honestly, you can't be any worse than the flunkies the dealerships call "service techs." And I mean that in a good way.;) Make sure you go through all the motions of starting a business though, license, insurance, taxes, etc. Good luck.

My Brother and I started our own shop repairing and customizing
ATV's motorcycles, PWC a few months ago. business has been real good, you definitley need insurance, i would not even think about starting something without it. and all the specialty tools get expensive, but once you buy it you have it forever. We both have our full time jobs and do it on the side with another mechanic we have that we bring on when we get to busy.

How much is Insurance for that?

My dad said if I put my name in the phone book then I need some kind of city thing that costs a few hundred bux that the nieghbors have to say yes too?

And here's wut I'm thinkin for the shirts, maybe the front would just have the part without the picture in the upper left. Wut would that run, and where do you live?

Thanks guys, keep 'em comin.

I do some side work on quads at home but it's mostly utility quads because I live in farm country and that is all everybody has.I have thought about actually starting a business but I really enjoy working on the sport quads and there just isn't enough of them around here.

this would be for the cards if you do them, the shirts I will have to price out cuz full color process on shirts is more expensive than spot colors. theres a cheeper way of doing full color but sometimes they dont last because they are put on with transfers. but let's tackle the bcards first. let me know how u like this .... whats your e mail?

oh my.... and i thought i had seen it all...

are you gunna teach all your clients to do 6th gear wheelies by jumping up and down to pre-load the suspension?

Scott-300ex
08-08-2007, 02:24 PM
250r4life you need to just shut up and relize your wrong.

My dad rode it and he wieghs about 200 pounds sitting on the gas tank in 3rd gear getting on it, no intention to lift the front end and it wheelied on him, are you not gonna belive that too? I'm not one for lieing cuz I don't so I did 1 6th gear wheelie on it on assphalt so you need to get over it. Just cuz you can't doesn't mean better riders can't.

And those are some fancy buissiness cards, Lots of color, LoL a picture wow, I was thinking just writing, and I don't know about the word Repair, I was gonna throw that on at first then I was thinkin it might be kinda gay. Should I put repair or not? And can you throw a 250r up there instead? LoL. Sorry if I'm picky.

Thanks though for your time, I know it takes patience. :D

what is relize? im trying to realize what you're saying, but im not sure what the word relize means? :huh

i dont doubt that it did that with your dad... i weigh about 180 something, but with my riding gear and camel pack and etc i cant be too far from 200lbs... and i can wheelie in 4th gear sitting up on the gas tank...

but youre so full of shiz! you rode 1 wheelie in 6th gear huh? why dont you just come out with the truth, and admit you stretched the truth and have continued on with several lies to try and cover it up... you didnt want to go back on what you said...

better riders meaning you? :D LOL

going in 6th gear and hitting a speed hump that brings your wheels a foot off the ground does not constitute a wheelie- FYI...

and i still love how you said you jumped up and down (in 6th gear mind you, roughly 50 MPH) to pre-load the suspension in order to do it...

man- if youre riding skills are that good, i would love to see what your mechanic skills are like... can i send you my engine? :huh

Wutever dude, why don't you just shut up and drop it. It was flat land you have no clue wut I'm talking about on having the suspension help you, your clueless.

I'm not dealin with you anymore listen to your 15 year old comments.

I've never lied on here before so why in the hell would I start now?

You said you've done a 7th gear wheelie so eat that.

I'm done responding to your jealous messaging.

ha ha ha ha...

it doesnt have to do with having an idea- im talking about the feasability of you jumping up and down on your bike in 6th gear right before you do a wheelie... i would love to watch you try and do that...

yah- i did say i did a 7th gear wheelie and was making fun of you when i said it...

jealousy- you hit the nail on the head!!!

i must thank you for the entertainment though...

I believe him. I can pull a wheelie 5th gear on my 450 on flat. So why not 6th on his 250r?

You could maybe even just charge local ppl to fix their quad. Have them tell their freinds, n fix their quads too. Starting a business u might even lose money.

apples and oranges...

two completely different things...

apparently you have never ridden a 250r...

i can run the hill in 4th on my YFZ- so that means i can take the hill in 5th on my 250r (built up quite a bit more than his) right? :huh

Depending on the size of our small business depends on what your gonna have to do, are you going to sell parts or are you going to just work on machines?

depending on your neighbors and where you live, zoning can play a factory, if they want to complain and it's zoned wrong then it can be a problem,

can you give a little more into what things your going to do in your small business.

oh thats right, i can run 6th gear wheelies on my 250r also.

maybe you should take some riding lessons, much better use of your time then argueing on the internet.

right... you want to come give me those riding lessons?

if he did it once- he could do it again... the fact of the matter is his 250r does not pull a 6th gear wheelie... we already discussed his gearing before...

ya'll are friends so thats cool that you stick up for eachother... i imagine all those hours on the set for "The Ringer" movie would build a strong bond
