Engine Cover

Does anyone know how to take the left hand crank case cover of off a 92 quadrunner? I made sure to get all the bolts out and took the shift lever off of its splines and very lightly pryed on it... a little oil started dripping, but no luck taking it off.

yea as long as all the bolts are out,,,,, it will take one good POP to break the seal

thanks... i ended up calling the dealer and he said that i shouldn't really take it off unless it needs a cam chain.... I checked it and there is a little play in the links back and forth... how much play can be allowed, or should i just go ahead and replace it ($40-$45)?

i would just go ahead and replace it... especially if it shows any signs of ware, better safe than sorry,,

and ya there only about 40-45 bucks
