my hmf pipe turned purple near the port is this normal or a jetting issue?

I have a LRD on mine and it was purple and glowing red hot so i changed my jeting and it is still purple but it does not glow red any more

That is usually caused by thin wall headers. That is how aftermarket companies save the weight compared to OEM is by using thiner tubing.
