i was wondering what u guys think about white brothers. i was thinking about getting the white brothers xcr for my 07' 400ex. is this a good pipe?

if you want the most power besides a $500 sparks or CT racing go with HMF sport series. Only $239 and adds 4HP wit a slip on and 6 HP with a full system. I had white borthers and they are alright, very little power gains

my guess is i would still have to jet with the hmf then?

well jetting it allows you to get the post power out of it.

i have the hmf slip on and its amazing. the jet will alow u to get the right amount of fuel for as much air as ur getting. w/ out it ur quad will just spit and pop and run like ****

yea... your best bet on a limited budget would be the HMF its a great pipe sounds good and has a great overall increase in power...


and yes jetting is a must with an aftermarket pipe...

white brothers make some good pipes and the company has been around long enough to know their stuff.
(they designed the hrc header for hondas 450r)
I have a white brothers R4 and other than being a little loud I
love it.

ahh yes an R4 pipe my buddy has one and i love that thing. i actually wanted one for mine but they discontinued it so i went with the E2.

but yeah the new XCR to me looks like a more fancy E2 pipe. i know my E2 sounds great without the quiet core spark arrestor. i would think the XCR would prob sound just about like the E2 seeing as how it has pretty much the same shape.

i was playing with mine the other day and put the quiet core back in just for S&G's. holy piss was that thing slow. i took it back out and noticed a huge difference.

as far as noticeable power added. i could tell a difference just adding the pipe jet kit and K&N filter.

but yeah the HMF sounds pretty close to the old R4 pipe. it would be my second pipe if i ever need one again.

go with the HMF its well worth it, i had a WB R4 and hardly noticed a thing bought the HMF and noticed a huge difference even without jetting and then after jet & airfilter it was sooo nice wouldnt go anything else, it also has a deep throaty sound to it very nice

you think an R4 is loud on a 400EX? my buddy has one on a Raptor 660. it's freakin deafening i love it. i can hear his quad over mine when he's like 4 quad lengths behind me.

imo wait and save your money for a good full system like sparks or hmf
