Yeah its fine, probably actually better then 10w40 for the summer time.
I'd think deff better then the 5w30.

ok well im gonna take ya'lls word for it 20w50 it is, now im just a bit confused now its apparent after posting this i know nothing about oil weights, now about the 5w30- when we went to our local dealer (local idiots) to stock up on oil they said that till your motors are well broken in go with the 5w30 and after your motor gets alittle wear n tear on it then use 10w40 forever and nothing ever came up about 20w50 till i have a ton of it sitting in my garage and now that i know its usable i aim on doing just that.

thanks everyone

20w-50 is better for summer time use bit better with heat, in colder weather 10w-40 is good, i have been runnign 15w-40 diesel oil in my quad for a long time but about the change to 20w-50 here in this next oil change.

ok now im gonna mix this post up a bit and praise tusk oil filters, when we first ordered all the filters for all the quads we called rocky mountain (only bigbook we order from) and the plan was to get k&n filters but somehow ended up with the tusk and im glad we did for $3 they are very comparable to the yam/hon/kaw filters (around $10 each) that we just have laying around for an emergency, so in closing i highly recommend them, its so nice to have a company that has quality parts that you dont have to finance.

yes. i have had zero problems with every tusk product ive owned. Im sick of spending 10x's as much for thhe same stuff just because of a brand name....

Just spend the $50 and get a steel mesh reusable filter.

I'll re-affirm the use of 10w40 for the colder months and 20w50 in the summer. I live in Arizona. I don't know of ANY quad that calls for a 5w30 oil.

well as for the metal reusable filters i really see no way they can seriously last more than 3-4 regular changes and the $50 price is just nutty if i wanted one id just wait for tusk to make one that costed $20-25, and the gas cap valve tube have troubles? well i know for the money the cap itself is well worth it but i dont know about the valve tube cause ive always ordered a full length colored tube and stuck on the cap.

Where do you get your logic from, 3-4 oil changes are you serious, What do you think the steel is going to rust. They provide better filtration and increased flow.

alright im not gonna start debating or anything and i know no matter what people will praise them simply cause they have one, but i dont know if they would work or not because iv never owned one and the little logic i have left is just going by the apperance, i dont think the metal would filtrate or clean as simply or nicely as claimed thats all.
